Annual National Conference of AIPI
I chaired the the inaugural session of the 21st National Annual Conference of Association of Industrial Psychiatry of India (AIPI) as President! The conference took place in Bodhgaya, with co-sponsorship from the World Psychiatry Association.
The theme of this conference was “Mental Health and Productivity,” highlighting the significant burden of mental disorders and their impact on productivity. With estimates of 418 million DALYs lost due to mental disorders in 2019, it’s clear that mental health is a top priority.
Dr. Vinay Kumar, Dr. CL Narayan, Dr. Archana, and other esteemed team members executed the program with excellence, showcasing the commitment to academic excellence and cultural nuances in the Land of Buddha.
The importance of this theme cannot be overstated. With an estimated annual loss of 5 trillion dollars due to reduced productivity, it’s clear that addressing mental health issues is crucial for economic stability and well-being.
I’m excited to share that several students from Amity Institute of Behavioral Health and Allied Sciences presented scientific papers and participated in the symposium, showcasing their intellectual prowess.
Congratulations to Sanjana Garg and Kavya Malhotra for winning prestigious awards, highlighting the outstanding contributions of young scholars.
